From Amsterdam startup to international webshop
After a flying start in the Netherlands, GoCustomized has grown into a major player in the European market. Michiel van de Plassche, Founder & CEO GoCustomized: "We are very happy and surprised to have won. We knew it was going fast last year. We became active in 7 other countries after Belgium. But that we were going to win, we never expected that."
"Our success factor is that we started small, but always thought it could become big. We built scalable systems, which allowed us to handle growth. In addition, we started operating in 7 countries at the same time last year, with local people in the office who know the market. The moment there was success we were able to scale quickly."
"We have further international growth plans, of course. We are now active in 9 countries. We still have a lot to gain in Europe, but we are now looking particularly at America, because this is a very interesting market for us. We're almost ready for it and expect it to be all the way in early 2017."
