Led by chairman of the day Ronnie Overgoor, the previous edition of the Cross Border e-commerce Event took place at De Landgoederij in Bunnik. Throughout the day, presentations took place for CEOs and managers responsible for organizing cross border expansion.
Kitty-Koelemeijer shared the opportunities and challenges of international marketplaces such as Alibaba and Amazon. Dennis van Allemeersch of Hotelspecials, winner of the 2015 Cross Border E-commerce Award, gave insight into how this success came about. We also learned from practical cases from Patrick Kerssemakers (Fonq), Jermy Leeuwis (Alpine), Damien Poelhekke (MADE.COM), Marco Coninx (Verover Europa), Geert Jan Smits (Flinders) and Rogier van Camp (Leapp).
At the various themed tables, the country specialists engaged in conversation, and as the final speaker, Noor de Bruijn shared MS Mode's online crossborder challenges with the participants. The day ended with a delicious international BBQ in the garden of the Landgoederij.
ZusenZomer has been chosen as the winner of the Cross Border Challenge 2015. The web store in hammam towels managed to convert about 75 thousand euros in one year in cross-border country Germany.
